Unique possibilities at the island Robinson Crusoe

A visitor of our island in the waters of the Loosdrechtse Plassen will never feel as lonely as the legendary Robinson Crusoe, as the water sports centre named after himis bubblingwith activities! The island is an excellent accommodation located at a unique spot. It is the perfect place to be introduced to the various branches of water sports.

You can sail in various types of ships and with different instruments: froma catamaran to a small roll-on/roll-off boat which is even accessible for an electric wheelchair, and from steering with a helm to joystick control.Other activities are surfing, rowing, canoeing and water skiing.

What makes the island unique is the fact that the water sports equipment has been fully adapted, as far as necessary, for various types of disabilities. There is even a hoist on the jetty to facilitate the transfer from wheelchair into the boat. So everybody is welcome at Robinson Crusoe!

The residential accommodation is also fully adapted and accessible for wheelchairs; it houses amaximumof 23 guests in case of activities longer than one day. There are single rooms as well as rooms that can fit several guests, all with beds that are adjustable in height. Adapted sanitary facilities are amply available and equippedwith the necessary services, such as shower stretchers, height adjustable toilets and a movable hoist.

From the house – that has a professional kitchen and a spacious living area with a fire place – you can enjoy a fabulous view over the large terrace, adjacent sports field, the private port and the Loosdrechtse Plassen. The evenings give you the possibility to sit and talk over the events of the day in good company at the camp fire or fire place.

The aquatic activities are supervised by a teamof enthusiastic, experienced andwell educated instructors. Together with the crew they guarantee a safe and above all an unforgettable stay at one of the most beautiful water sport accommodations in the Netherlands.
